Roman Dudaryk MD

Ryder Trauma Center/University of Miami Professor of Anesthesiology, Director of Quality

Dr. Roman Dudaryk is a Professor of Anesthesiology and the Director of Quality in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He is also actively involved in trauma and critical care initiatives at Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, contributing to advancements in the management of severely injured patients.

Dr. Dudaryk completed his residency in anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He then pursued a fellowship in critical care medicine and perioperative echocardiography at Duke University. He is board-certified in anesthesiology, critical care medicine, and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography.

Dr. Dudaryk has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications, including original research manuscripts, invited editorials, review articles, and book chapters. His research interests focus on trauma-induced coagulopathy, resuscitation, transfusion strategies, viscoelastic monitoring, perioperative anticoagulation management, and medical alarms. He has presented his research at national and international conferences and is a frequent lecturer on topics within his expertise.

In addition to his academic and research contributions, Dr. Dudaryk provides consulting services for medical device and pharmaceutical companies, offering expertise in product development, implementation, and education. He is also a member of the Patient Blood Management Committee of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), contributing to advancements in perioperative blood conservation and transfusion strategies.
